Departed HMAS Moreton and commenced passage to planned overnight anchorage at Tangalooma. Weather conditions experienced on Moreton Bay convinced us that Tangalooma would not offer us sufficient protection and it was decided to anchor in the lee of Mud Island instead.

DAY 8 – Command Day Commences

Ahoy shipmates…Day 6, and I’ll have be quick due to a network upgrade happening shortly. Another busy day, and finally the breeze has shifted to the west, allowing a great day of sailing.

Ahoy shipmates. Day 4. After a wet and windy night, the skies finally cleared and we have enjoyed some fine sailing…and sun. Still bloody cold though!
Ahoy shipmates…Day 3 and back at sea! After keeping the youth crew busy all day, including some brief time ashore, we are now underway heading north.
Ahoy shipmates…Day 2…a busy one. We arrived in Nelson Bay at 2330 last night, much to the relief of a few of the youth crew who were a bit green during the transit from Newcastle.
