06 Aug Motorsailing, 35nm East of N. Stradbroke Is
Ahoy Shipmates,At last we have made it south of Brisbane! After sailing out into heavy weather last night we clawed our way off the coast to about 60nm to seaward. We tacked this morning just before lunch and are now motorsailing hard on the 25 knot SE breeze, and making 8-9 knots in the right direction. Unfortunately due to the amount of time we had to spend in Brisbane sheltering from the storms, we now need to spent the next three nights at sea to make it to Sydney in time for the end of the voyage.Onboard things are going well – we are starting to dry out after all of the rain and after Happy Hour” this morning
