Day 1 – V15/25, Fremantle to Albany
Ahoy there Shipmates!
We’re back for another epic voyage down the West Australian Coast! Starting in the great port city of Fremantle and finishing in amazing Albany, V15/25 promises to give our intrepid Youth Crew an experience that they will never forget.
At 1500 today, 24 Young Australians stepped across the gangway and excitedly got acquainted with their new home. Whilst they were stowing their bags down below, their families got to have a look around the ship before saying a tearful goodbye. Just in time as well! The heavens opened up and rain started pelting down onto the deck with the wind howling across the ship. Clearly mother nature is excited for this voyage as well! The adverse weather didn’t dampen the spirits of the new Youthie Crew however, and they eagerly started getting stuck into the program.
Stay tuned each day for an update on our adventurers as the Youth Crew start their journey from 24 strangers to an A1 ‘Salty Sea Dog’ Tall Ship Crew. We’ve got some excellent sailing weather ahead of us, so between Poseidon and the Sail Master they will definitely be put through their paces.
