Day 10 – Alongside HMAS Waterhen
Well, ladies and gents, boys and girls, today is the final day of V08B/22 and what a voyage it’s been. We’ve had quite an adventure and I’m sure the youthies will remember this voyage and their shipmates forever.
Youth crew conducted a sunrise climb in Athol Bay and then did one final happy hour. Then at 0915 we weighed anchor and manned the yards for our arrival.
At 1000 we berthed alongside HMAS Waterhen at Waverton and were greeted by friends and family. I’ve had a fantastic voyage and I know the other staff members did too. Thanks to the persistence, resilience and adaptability of the youthies, because they are the ones who made it a success. Thanks must also go to the staff crew who did an amazing job throughout.
Well that’s it from me, but like I said to the gang today, their voyage is over but the journey never ends… you may be leaving Young Endeavour but the Young Endeavour never leaves you.
Fair winds and following seas.
Yours Aye,
Captain Adam Charlie Farley+

Thank you Tarvi, Kaeden and Matt for your narrative of today's events. Intentions are to remain at anchor in Hunters Bay, just off HMAS Penguin, home of the RAN Diving School, a place close to my heart, having spent many a day there under training as a young Officer! The plan is to weigh anchor and proceed to HMAS Waterhen, in Waverton, to pick up our Community Day Sailors from the Windgap Foundation and take them for a sail around the harbour for 3 hours. The Youth Crew will help us host our visitors and give them an experience of Young Endeavour. We will drop them back to Waverton and then proceed to anchor in the harbour where we will have a good view of the Bridge and the Opera House for the Youth Crew's last night onboard. Until tomorrow. Yours Aye, Captain Mike
