Laguna Bay (Noosa)

Ahoy Shipmates, Morning brief this morning kicked of a busy day for the Crew of Young Endeavour. Following a quick set of cleaning stations a full press of fore and aft sails were set and it was straight into demonstrational tacks. Due to very light conditions this exercise took a little longer than usual but the objective of demonstrating a tack from the command team’s perspective was still achieved. Following these set of tacks I conducted Captains Setting and Furling Drills completing this exercise just in time to bring the Ship to anchor in Laguna Bay (Noosa Heads) at 1300. Once at anchor the Sailmaster conducted his interactive Communication Exercise and once this activity was completed the Boats Officer ferried a very enthusiastic Youth Crew ashore to be let loose on the famous Noosa Beach and the shops of Hastings Street. Once everyone was back onboard we enjoyed another memorable teak deck BBQ which was followed by the Command Day brief and elections in preparation for the much anticipated challenge of taking command of the Ship, which will occur at 1000 tomorrow morning.Until Tomorrow, take care.Yours AyeCaptain Gav
