Departed Nelson, On Passage to the Marlborough Sounds

Departed Nelson, On Passage to the Marlborough Sounds

Ahoy there me hearties,We are underway again and off to the Marlborough Sounds, and Command day tomorrow. To tell you all about it here is YC Sheree:This trip has been just as amazing as the first time around. As a returnee it has been awesome to learn more about the ship and meet more great people and staff. We’ve just departed Port Nelson where we managed to stock up the ship supplies and have a bit of free time. The approaching command day will undoubtedly be a fun and rewarding experience and fingers crossed the conditions are on our side for some great sailing. As a unit all of the youth crew are working well as a team and are able to get the job done. I’m so glad I’ve had the opportunity to come back on the ship and been able to achieve more than I did on my previous voyage including climbs to the top to work on the sails! To all in Yulara my token t-shirt has been getting a great deal of attention which you’ll see in my photos! Family and friends a big hello and hooray I avoided all sea sickness this time around. Will see you all soon. The other exciting thing which may be happening over the next few days is that we hope to rendezvous with the NZ National Sail Training Ship Spirit of New Zealand”. If all goes according to plan we will be able to take them on in some sport
