Day 9 – Twofold Bay
Ahoy there everyone,Welcome to day nine of our voyage, with a good nights sleep for all after successfully completing an exhausting command day the previous day. The crew was awoken at 0630 by Sail Master Guv, followed by an invigorating early morning activity, breakfast and the always entertaining morning brief. After happy hour every member of the Youth Crew climbed aloft on the foremast for a collective group photo. The ship then weighed anchor crossing Twofold Bay eventually anchoring adjacent the Snug Cove breakwater. Lunch was consumed before the Youth Crew were transferred ashore in the ships sea boat to visit the Eden Killer Whale museum and stretch their sea legs. On re-embarkation the anchor was recovered and the ship shifted anchorage positions to Nullica Bay adjacent the historic Boydtown. With dinner completed a ships concert was conducted which enabled each watch to perform a short act, play or skit. Needless to say the talent level was extremely high with an entertaining evening enjoyed by all. The ship will remain at anchor overnight before berthing tomorrow and embarking a group of special needs young adults for a hosted three hour sail within Twofold Bay. Until tomorrow evening Yours Aye Captain Damien

Thank you Tarvi, Kaeden and Matt for your narrative of today's events. Intentions are to remain at anchor in Hunters Bay, just off HMAS Penguin, home of the RAN Diving School, a place close to my heart, having spent many a day there under training as a young Officer! The plan is to weigh anchor and proceed to HMAS Waterhen, in Waverton, to pick up our Community Day Sailors from the Windgap Foundation and take them for a sail around the harbour for 3 hours. The Youth Crew will help us host our visitors and give them an experience of Young Endeavour. We will drop them back to Waverton and then proceed to anchor in the harbour where we will have a good view of the Bridge and the Opera House for the Youth Crew's last night onboard. Until tomorrow. Yours Aye, Captain Mike
