Day 10 – V09/25, Thursday Island to Darwin

The long-awaited day has arrived, Command Day. A day filled of mixed emotions of excitement and nerves.

This morning was a bustle of preparations as we eagerly waited for the time to arrive. The time for us crew to spread our wings and take charge of sailing the Young Endeavour to the final stretch to Darwin.

Before we knew it Command Day was in full swing. Watch group briefs, game plans plotted and tender boats paddling to discover the next clue to our journey.

As a setting sun transformed a pink sky to a purple horizon we set sail, steering towards our final stretch home. So much has happened, yet it only has just begun.

This is our cliff-hanger brief so wait for tomorrow nights more detailed brief!

Ewan, Lachie, and Siena
