Command Day Part 1
Ahoy there,After another restful night in our sheltered anchorage of Jerusalem Bay we were woken by Sailmaster Kyle for a quick game before breakfast. That was followed by the morning brief, which included Salty’s explanation of the nautical origin of the expression ‘Son of a Gun’ with the help of the dubious acting skills of the Staffies. That was followed by happy hour. That’s all from me for 24 hrs. I’ll now hand over to Youth Crew Captain Kiah.Yours Aye, Captain Mike—————————–Hello there,This morning at 1000 the charge of the ship was handed over to the youth crew for 24 hours. To start we were given a list of tasks to complete within our voyage from Broken Bay to Watsons Bay.In this list of tasks are a broad variety of tasks ranging from a 15 minute Dance Party in the 12 berth and sailing drills such as tacking.1300 was the completion time of our first task (getting as many youth crew aloft as possible).we have also had our youth navigator Nancy-Leigh, sail master Ashleigh and watch officer James working on our route to Watsons Bay. The newly appointed chefs John, Katie and Alexandra cooked everyone a wonderful Italian inspired dinner. The plan is to have left the heads of Broken Bay by 2000, sailing through the night to our destination.Lets see how we go!Yours Aye, Youth Captian Kiah

Thank you Tarvi, Kaeden and Matt for your narrative of today's events. Intentions are to remain at anchor in Hunters Bay, just off HMAS Penguin, home of the RAN Diving School, a place close to my heart, having spent many a day there under training as a young Officer! The plan is to weigh anchor and proceed to HMAS Waterhen, in Waverton, to pick up our Community Day Sailors from the Windgap Foundation and take them for a sail around the harbour for 3 hours. The Youth Crew will help us host our visitors and give them an experience of Young Endeavour. We will drop them back to Waverton and then proceed to anchor in the harbour where we will have a good view of the Bridge and the Opera House for the Youth Crew's last night onboard. Until tomorrow. Yours Aye, Captain Mike
