From YC Captain Cameron:

After a good night sleep we woke up at Mercury Bay. After the normal morning of breakfast and happy hour the crew had there first swim from the ship. With the shark rifle out and a bit of acrobatics from the bow sprit, we were in good spirits for the upcoming challenge of taking command of the ship. To this point command has been a steep learning curve, with many challenges to overcome. The first was sailing off anchorage which was made all the more difficult with 5 - 10knts headwinds. Several tacks later, we were out at sea on our way, with everyone in relatively good spirits after a delicious dinner cooked by our 4 newly appointed chefs. With the wind even lighter, we have been granted the use of the iron headsails and are steaming towards our midnight change over of command teams.

Until tomorrow,

Cameron
