Ahoy Shipmates,

After a good nights sleep at anchor morning brief this morning saw a completely refreshed and enthusiastic YC. Following Happy Hour (cleaning stations) the Engineer conducted the first set of hotly contested rope races followed by the Navigators lecture on the scientific art of navigation. Morning tea consisted of freshly baked scones cooked by the Bosun, which was served on deck. This was followed by a Rule of the Road lecture, a well earned swim and finally a teak deck BBQ lunch to finish of a very successful mornings program. Early afternoon saw YE weigh anchor and depart the sheltered anchorage of Bateman's Bay. Once outside the confines of the bay we set all fore and aft sails and under a light south easterly breeze shaped course to the south. By mid afternoon we had completed another set of tacks and achieved some more sail setting and furling drills. Early evening saw us pass east of the picturesque Montague Island then alter course to the south east to pick up the East Australian Current to assist us in our passage south. As I complete this evenings Captains Log everyone is settled into their watches for the night and YE is making good ground to the south.

To the Wife's and Partners of all of the Staff Crew Happy Valentines Day, as always our love and thoughts are with you.

Yours Aye
