A day in paradise …

Evening everyone,We said to each other at our morning brief that we should be positive about the rain. We have only had one day of it and it wasn’t incessant or cold. The power of positive thinking and it turned out to be a mostly sunny day, which meant we could enjoy some time ashore on the beach in the afternoon and a teak-deck barbeque in the evening.A big happy birthday to Chris we sang and enjoyed a great cake to celebrate.During the afternoon I spoke with the Youth Crew about Command Day which starts tomorrow. The Youth Crew then went ahead and conducted elections for Command Day positions. None of the staff attended the deliberations but I am sure we will get to debrief that and give us an understanding of the process. The Youth Crew also got to watch their one and only movie yes, titled Around Cape Horn about the Clipper ships in the late 1920s.Tomorrow is Command Day so I will get the Youth Crew Captain and others to keep you up to date. Until then we are going to enjoy a quiet night at anchor.Stay well _YakVoyage Captain
