AT ANCHOR, LADY MUSGRAVE ISLAND

Ahoy me Hearties,What a fab day we have had – Overnight the wind settled down into the South East which allowed us to make excellent time around the top of Fraser Island. Unfortuately it wasn’t from a perfect direction, and so we had to get everyone up and wear ship twice during the night.Today we got to anchor just before lunch and spent the afternoon on the Coral Sand Cay that is Lady Musgrave island, at the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef.Tomorrow we will set off for Great Keppel Island, and then to Middle Percy Is SE of Mackay. Everyone is over their seasickness and after our BBQ onboard this evening, they are jumping out of their skins! Overnight all will be in anchor watches, meaning that we will be able to catch up on much needed sleep.Until tomorrow,Yours AyeChrisChris GallowayCommander, RANCommanding Officer
