Happy Birthday Khalid

Voyage 01/03 commenced this afternoon at 16:00 when YOUNG ENDEAVOUR sailed from Garden Island with a full compliment of YouthCrew embarked. The Staff Crew for the voyage is comprised of: Captain John (Neptune), Executive Officer Aaron (Bullet), Navigator Phil (Spanky), Watch Officer Lauren (Loz), White Watch Leader Michael (Dutchy), Red Watch Leader Chantel (Channie), Blue Watch Leader Luke (Lukish), Engineer Simon (Stewy) and Chef Ben (Stony). After having been ashore for two weeks over Christmas, it is great to be back at sea. They have only been onboard for a few hoursbut already this Youth Crew are looking to be as motivated as any who have gone before them. They have just finished their first climb and all hands went up and over the lower top. They are enjoying a mug ofKye and a slice of birthday cake (congrats Khalid) before the first watch will close up. The lucky Reddies have got the middle (two sleeps-yeah) so shortly they will be getting their heads down for a few hours.Overnight the watches will conduct their second climb, this time out to the yardarms, as well as completing their full valuecontract. Time permitting, they will also practise knots bends and hitches.YOUNG ENDEAVOUR FACT FILE: On the 25th of January, the Ship will celebrate the 15th anniversary of her being presented to Australia by the United Kingdom. Since then, over 6000 young Australians have sailed in YOUNG ENDEAVOUR in all corners of the globe.
