Have you got amazing footage of your Young Endeavour voyage sitting on your device or computer? We want to share it with others!
Produce your own 2-minute Young Endeavour highlights video that shows what a voyage is really like. Share the adventure, the fun, and the challenges (aka seasickness!) and we’ll use these to promote voyages to future youth crew.
We’ll share the videos on our YouTube Channel, the video with the most likes wins!
Your video
You must have sailed in STS Young Endeavour on a voyage in 2021 or 2022 and recorded your experience on your personal device.
- Create a video of your voyage to share your voyage experience with future youth crew.
- We recommend keeping your video under 2 minutes long to capture the attention of viewers.
- Include a title on your video sharing your name and your voyage number
- Remember to choose music that isn’t copyrighted, otherwise your video can be removed from YouTube. You can make your own soundtrack or check out our suggestions on where to find music for free below. Always check if you need to credit the composer and include this information when you submit your video so it can be included in the YouTube description.

How to Enter
- Upload your video to the Young Endeavour Dropbox by 11 August 2022.
- Email your entry details to mail@youngendeavour.gov.au, including voyage number, full name, email address, phone number and music credit information.
- Young Endeavour Youth Scheme will upload all valid competition entry videos to their YouTube channel by 9am Monday 15 August. We’ll credit you for the video, and include any information you have shared with us in your entry.
- Throughout the competition, Young Endeavour Youth Scheme will share the videos, or sections of the videos, to their social media channels (Facebook, Instagram) to encourage interactions with the videos.
- The videos will be live on the Young Endeavour YouTube for voting from 9am Monday 15th August 2022 until 7:00pm on Thursday 15th September 2022.
- The video with the most likes at 7:00pm on Thursday 15th September 2022 will win!

Terms and Conditions
- To be eligible for the competition, submissions are to be uploaded to the Young Endeavour Youth Scheme Dropbox by 11:59pm on Thursday 11th August 2022. Entry information (full name, voyage number, email address, phone number, music credits) needs to be emailed to mail@youndendeavour.gov.au to confirm your entry.
- The videos will be uploaded to the Young Endeavour Youth Scheme YouTube and the competition will run between 9:00am Monday 15th August – 7:00pm Thursday 15 September.
- By entering this competition, you grant the Young Endeavour Youth Scheme a non-exclusive, irrevocable and perpetual licence to use the entry material for promotional purposes.
- Videos can be submitted by former youth crew who have sailed prior to the competition period.
- Videos that have already been prepared prior to the competition dates can be entered into the competition.
- Videos must comply with Young Endeavour voyage principles or they will be disqualified. Our principles:
o We treat everyone fairly and equally with respect for all;
o We encourage teamwork and personal development;
o We conduct all activities with professionalism;
o We insist on safety, 24 hours a day.
- All video submissions must comply with YouTube Community Guidelines located here. Videos that don’t comply will be disqualified.
- By submitting a video for Young Endeavour to upload to the Young Endeavour Youth Scheme YouTube channel you acknowledge that you accept YouTube Terms of Service
- The promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with YouTube or any other social media platform that the content might be shared on.
- Young Endeavour Youth Scheme acknowledges that by using YouTube to run the competition, we are doing so at our own risk.
- Young Endeavour Youth Scheme complies with and our channel is consistent with YouTube Terms of Service.
- Young Endeavour Youth Scheme may elect to share video submissions from their YouTube channel on Young Endeavour Youth Scheme social media channels (Facebook, Instagram), but are not obligated to share all posts an equal number of times. Entrants can encourage their community of friends and family to vote as many times as they like.
- When you enter the Young Endeavour Youth Scheme YouTube competition, we will collect the email address you nominate and any other identifying information you provide, such as a name or phone number. We may use your email address or phone number to contact you about the competition or for marketing purposes. You may opt out of further contact from us at any time. - The competition winner will be contacted by email by the Young Endeavour Youth Scheme on Friday 16th September 2022.
