Day 4 – Return to the north

Good day landlubbers, Felisha, Jorja and JJ here. We are currently writing from the charthouse on watch. We have set our topgallant, topsail, and course square sails, and are sailing north through heaving seas. We left peaceful Jervis Bay this afternoon after practicing tacking stations, and our second round of rope races with Blue watch coming out on top… We enjoyed a beautiful sunset. Now we begin our 4 hour watches overnight, starting off with white watch up first 2000-0001.

Trevor our Navigator gave us an insight into his world and we all learnt how to use paper charts and keep the ship safe by fixing the ships position with his special tools. We will continue to navigate the ship northbound overnight as we head for Broken Bay.

While at anchor all morning we enjoyed some fun games run by Karson and some downtime to play cards and relax before our big afternoon. Once again Ash smashed it by making us the most delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner, her cookies and cream cheesecake was a bit hit with everyone wanting a second slice.

Not too many people have fed the fish yet, everyone is getting their sea legs and becoming hearty sailors.

Till Next time….
