Thanks Freo!

Hi everyone. I’m back after a break and looking forward to sailing with the Youth of Australia again. We’ve just spent a great week in Fremantle conducting a few half day sails and hosting an Open Day where nearly 1300 people toured the ship. Boy, were we popular! The visit here has been great but the Circumnavigation must continue. On this Voyage we journey into the Southern Ocean and head into the Great Australian Bight on our way to Esperance. The Youth Crew joined today at Victoria Quay and we got an initial taste of the sea with some rough weather and some downpours but that’s life on a Tall Ship. Our new crew are keen to experience all the challenges and adventures on Young Endeavour, and that they will. As I type, the clicks on their safety harnesses mean they are about to lay aloft for the initial climb of the foremast. My team for this Voyage is XO-Matt, Nav-Aaron, WO-Mhanda, White WL-Damo, Blue WL-Woody, Red WL-Schooner, Engineer-Eddie, Chef-Karen, Asst White WL-Barry. (Barry will be the new Engineer, replacingRick).Speak tomorrowAndrew Davis
