Day 08 – V10/25, Darwin to Darwin

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to Command Day and Day 8 of our voyage. After a good night’s rest at anchor, we awoke to another beautiful morning here in the Tiwi Islands. Following one of Dion’s early morning activities, breakfast and morning brief, we had a quick chat with the Youth Crew Command Team, then at 1000, I officially handed the Ship over to Captain Caitlyn, which commenced Command Day. One of the many tasks to be completed during this 24hr period is the writing of the Captain’s Log, which tonight has been written by Olivia, Austin, Alyssa, and Grace.
Until tomorrow, take care.
Captain Gav
PS Don’t believe the story of ‘being greeted by rough seas and unforgiving swells’, as it is still pretty nice out here.
Hello there, baddies at home.
Four plus four equals ate, and that is what we did today and what day we are on!!
Greetings from the Tiwi Islands, where we set sail once again, but with our youth crew baddies leading the way on Command Day!
The day started with a happy hour, where we all went around the ship and cleaned it top to bottom, leaving it squeaky clean. Special thanks to Rihanna, ABBA, Beyonce, Ed Sheeran, and the Back Street Boys for raising the spirits and making it one big party!
Following the elections that were held last night, we started Command Day by dancing the ‘Virginia Reel’ on the midship to boost morale and wake everyone up. There were some great moves on the dance floor, with some nutbush actions involved.
We then set out for an afternoon climb to take one more look at the land and get a whole crew photo before setting sail once again. Greeted by rough seas and unforgiving swells, we enjoyed a delicious Mexican dinner prepared by our amazing new chefs.
A long night awaits as we begin our night watches on the deep, dark sea.
We are so excited for tomorrow to continue our 24-hour Command Day.
See you tomorrow,
Olivia, Austin, Alyssa, and Grace
