The Premier of Victoria, The Hon Steve Bracks MLA, started the Melbourne to Geelong Race and presented voyage certificates to the Youth Crew. They were thrilled to receive them.

Shortly after the Premier's departure we started the Tall Ships race. In short, we won. The winds were light but we powered ahead and gained the lead. Good sailing and great tactics were the key. We have now asserted our dominance in being the fastest brigantine in Australia. Bring on the world. The Youth Crew were seasoned sailors and great hosts for our distinguished visitors. They brought great credit to the ship and I thank them for being great Tall Ship sailors.

On arrival Geelong I asked a YE Board Member, Mr John Calvert-Jones AM, to present the Order Of Australia Emblem to Helen Kruup. Well done, Helen - you were a quiet achiever and your efforts were outstanding.

I am off for the next Voyage. Matt, the XO, will take the reins until I return for the Newcastle to Sydney Voyage.

Carpe Diem and grinners are winners.
