YOUTH CREW IMPRESSIONS

THE VISIT TO THE TOWNSHIP OF 1770 PROVIDED EVERYONE WITH AN
OPPORTUNITY TO APPRECIATE THE EXTENSE OF CAPTAIN COOKS VOYAGE ALONG THE QUEENSLAND COAST.

ONCE ONBOARD EVRYONE ENJOYED A TROPICAL BBQ BEFORE THE SHIP SAILED AWAY FROM THE ANCHORAGE. OVERNIGHT ALL WATCHES
CONDUCTED THE \BEAREX\". AN EXERCISE TOTALLY FOCUSED ON AN INDIVIDUAL WATCHES NEEDS TO REFINE THEIR TEAMWORK IN PREPARATION FOR COMMAND DAY.

THE BREEZE VARIED ENORMOUSLY OVERNIGHT REQUIRING AT TIMES THE
SHIP TO MOTOR SAIL. THE SE'LY BREEZE FRESHENED MID MORNING AND ONCE AGAIN THE SHIP WAS SAILING CLOSED HAULED EXTREMELY WELL BALANCED.

ALL WELL.

THE YOUNG ENDEAVOUR HAS BEEN SO GREAT. I'VE MADE SO MANY NEW AND EXCITING PEOPLE ON BOARD. THE DAYS ARE FUN, AND I'M LOVING EVERY MINUTE ABOUT THE VOYAGES (EXCEPT GETTING UP AT 3.30 IN THE MORNING). I'M STILL GETTING USED TO THAT. WE WENT ASHORE SATURDAY 11TH JUNE AT 1770. IT IS A GREAT PLACE, PRETTY QUIET. I HAVE LEARNT HEAPS ABOUT SAILING AND IT'S A GREAT EXPERIENCE. LOVE YOU MUM, DAD, AND GIRLS.

THIS HAS BEEN THE GREATEST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. THE VIEWS HAVE
BEEN FANTASTIC AND WE HAVE HAD OVER 100 HOURS UNDER SAIL. GETTING UP AT 3.30AM HAS BEEN TOUGH THOUGH WATCHING THE SUNRISE HAS MADE IT ALL WORTHWHILE. WE HAVE LEARNT HEAPS ALREADY AND WE WILL CONTINUE TO LEARN MORE.

BEING ON THE YOUNG ENDEVOUR IS AN AMASING EXPERIENCE. I HAVE BEEN
DOING THINGS I WOULD OTHERWISE NEVER GET THE CHANCE TO DO AND
FACING CHALLENGES I DIDNT EVEN REALISE WERE CHALLENGES. THE WORK IS HARD BUT IT IS ALSO GOOD. IM HAVING ALOT OF FUN AND I AM VERY HAPPY THAT I GOT THE OPPURTUNITY TO COME ONBORD THE YOUNG ENDEVOUR.
