Ahoy Shipmates,

We have just had an exciting 24 hours of sailing getting back up the coast to Sydney. Overnight we sped up from Jervis Bay in 35knots of southerly breeze. We made such good time that we were able to go to anchor off Cook's Monument in Botany Bay just after lunch. Everyone had the opportunity to get ashore and have a run around. We also had mid voyage talks, which is an opportunity to talk about the voyage experience so far, and re-focus personal and group goals for the rest of the voyage.

After an indoor BBQ this evening we sailed from Botany Bay, and we are currently off Bondi enroute to our overnight anchorage at Watsons Bay. Tomorrow morning we will have a visit from the Daily Telegraph, before we set off for our last night at sea before Command Day.

To tell you about their day, here are YC Vanessa and Claire:
Hi everyone from Cherrybrook and Echuca!

Yesterday the youth crew got into the spirit, following the crew into the young endeavour pool, aka, over the side of the ship. At morning brief we had yet another visit from Nanna Diesel. Today, youth crew and Captain Chris sailed into Botany Bay - making this a first for both youth crew, staff and captain. After docking in Botany Bay we ferried to the shore where we reflected on our voyage experience thus far. This was followed by a visit to the local convenience store, where youth crew stocked up on munchies.

Watch this space for further news, see you all in a few days. Claire and Vanessa.

Yep, the sugar high is here....

Until tomorrow me hearties, and thanks to the Lancaster family for your beaut email, especially Hayden.

Yours Aye,

Chris
