Ahoy Me Hearties,

Welcome to the Voyage Log for V21/07. I will be updating the log daily, usually sometime in the early afternoon.

We departed Cunningham Pier at Geelong yesterday, and made the five-hour long transit across the Bay tp Rye, where we anchored overnight. On the way we did all of our usual ship's tours, ice-breaker activities, and the first sessions of line handling and deck safety. Everyone was in bed by 2230 and had a good night's sleep until they were all woken by XO Suzie's dulcet tones on the main broadcast system at 0630 this morning for Early Morning Activity.

After breakfast we had \colours\" (the flag raising ceremony), \"Happy Hour\" (the cleaning ceremony) and first climbs to the topgallant yard, which everyone achieved easily. After Jarrod's awesome lunch we weighed anchor and are now sailing out of Port Phillip Bay practicing sail setting and furling. The big achievement to day needs to be tacking ship as a crew, which we hope to knock over before sunset this evening. We will then begin the 140nm passage to Deal Island where we will go to anchor tomorrow night, weather permitting.

Until tomorrow, shipmates,

Yours Aye,

Chris Galloway
