PAST 24 HOURSFABULOUS CONDITIONS. ALL YOUTH CREW WENT ASHORE AT LADY MUSGRAVE ISLAND TO ENJOY THE REMOTE CORAL ISLAND. EVERYONE HAND A GREAT TIME AND ONCE ONBOARD ENJOYED A TRADITIONAL ‘TEAK DECK BBQ’.AFTERWARDS THREE WAY TALKS WERE HELD TO ENHANCE OUT OF WATCH INTERACTION AND DEVELOP PUBLIC SPEAKING SKILLS IN A FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT. ANCHOR WATCHES OVER NIGHT IN GROUPS OF THREE AND AFTER COLOURS AND SINGING OF THE NATIONAL ANTHEM YOUNG ENDEAVOUR SAILED AWAY FROM THE ANCHORAGE IN TALL SHIP TRADITION. YOUTH CREW IMPRESSIONSSIMONE, BENDIGO VIC, IM FINDING THE YOUNG ENDEAVOUR THE GREATEST CHALLENGE OF MY LIFE AND LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF IT. TODAY I’M WATCH LEADER AND IN CHARGE OF MY TEAMS TASKS. IM ENJOYING TAKING TIME OFF FROM REAL LIFE AND MEETING NEW PEOPLE. DYLAN, TOWNSVILLE QLD, I HAVE BEEN ABOARD THE YOUNG ENDEVOUR FOR FIVE DAYS NOW AND I’M THROUGHLY ENJOYING THE NEW PERIENCES. SO FAR I HAVE CLIMBED ALOFT, LEARNT HOW TO SET SAILS, TIE KNOTS AND HAVE BEEN SNORKELING ON LADY MUSGROVE. I HAVE BEEN RIVELIGED TO SEE WHALES, DOLPHINS, TURTLES AND VARIOUS OTHER MARINE LIFE. I’M HAVEING AN AWESOME TIME.NILOFER, MELBOURNEI CAME INTO THIS VOYAGE WITH THE AIM TO SEE HOW FAR I COULD PUSH MYSELF. I WANTED TO REACH MY SELF IMPOSED BOUNDARIES AND PROVE TO MYSELF THAT I COULD ACHIEVE ANYTHING I PUT MY HEART TO. Thank you Tarvi, Kaeden and Matt for your narrative of today's events. Intentions are to remain at anchor in Hunters Bay, just off HMAS Penguin, home of the RAN Diving School, a place close to my heart, having spent many a day there under training as a young Officer! The plan is to weigh anchor and proceed to HMAS Waterhen, in Waverton, to pick up our Community Day Sailors from the Windgap Foundation and take them for a sail around the harbour for 3 hours. The Youth Crew will help us host our visitors and give them an experience of Young Endeavour. We will drop them back to Waverton and then proceed to anchor in the harbour where we will have a good view of the Bridge and the Opera House for the Youth Crew's last night onboard. Until tomorrow.
