SAILING ON A BEAM REACH UNDER THE TOPSAIL AND ALL FORE AND AFT SAILS. AS THE AFTERNOON PROGRESSED THE BREEZE EASED UNTIL AROUND 1600 WHEN THE WIND FRESHENED TO NEAR GALE FORCE AS A LOW WAS FORMING OFF SOUTHERN NSW COAST. ON DECK THE STORMS SAILS WERE BENT ON AND GROUND WAS MADE TO THE NORTH. ALL YOUTH CREW WERE WORKING NOW EXTREMELY WELL AND HAVE SHARPENED THEIR SAIL HANDLING SKILLS ENORMOUSLY. THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT YOUNG ENDEAVOUR RODE OUT THE GALE COMFORTABLY AND AS THE WIND BACKED GROUND WAS MADE TO JERVIS BAY. AFTER SUNRISE THE SHIP ANCHORED AND AFTER BREAKFAST AND MORNING BRIEF EVERYONE WENT
ASHORE TO ENJOY BEACH SPORTS AND A WELL EARNED BREAK.
