JERVIS BAY
Ahoy there everyone, Welcome to day four, overnight the ship continued to close the coast, passing the majestic cliffs of Point Perpendicular in the early morning light and entered Jervis Bay under sail.On completion of the morning brief a successful man overboard exercise was conducted with a life ring simulating our person in the water. All sails were then handed in and the ship proceeded to anchor adjacent scenic Honeymoon Bay in the north east reach of Jervis Bay.After happy hour and lunch all crew were transferred ashore in the ships sea boat to enjoy the pristine waters of this secluded area, swimming, snorkelling or hugging a tree to ward off any future motion sickness. On return to the ship the anchor was recovered and the ship conducted a short transit under engines to an overnight anchorage opposite Long Beach.A teak deck BBQ was cooked and consumed on the upper deck whilst the sun set on the surrounding hinterland. Next a three way talk activity was conducted; this enabled each Youth Crew member to gather a significant amount of personal information about two of their appointed shipmates during the afternoon; and then present this to the remainder of the crew in the third person developing confidence, interpersonal skills and public speaking. After this activity the Youth Crew settled into anchor watches for the night. Each is displaying commendable resilience and stamina whilst maintaining enthusiasm and a fantastic sense of humour. The intention is to weigh anchor tomorrow morning and commence our passage north against the prevailing winds.Until tomorrow evening, take care. Yours AyeCaptain Damien

Thank you Tarvi, Kaeden and Matt for your narrative of today's events. Intentions are to remain at anchor in Hunters Bay, just off HMAS Penguin, home of the RAN Diving School, a place close to my heart, having spent many a day there under training as a young Officer! The plan is to weigh anchor and proceed to HMAS Waterhen, in Waverton, to pick up our Community Day Sailors from the Windgap Foundation and take them for a sail around the harbour for 3 hours. The Youth Crew will help us host our visitors and give them an experience of Young Endeavour. We will drop them back to Waverton and then proceed to anchor in the harbour where we will have a good view of the Bridge and the Opera House for the Youth Crew's last night onboard. Until tomorrow. Yours Aye, Captain Mike
