Wind WNW 35 knots - a full gale
Ahoy Me Hearties,

What an awesome sail we have had in the last 24 hour - we rocketted across Bass Strait overnight in a northerly gale - much better to be going with it!

Unfortunately there was a westerly change during the morning watch this morning which has again filled into a full gale. We are now snugged down under jib, forestays'l, main stays'l and main making a cracking nine knots towards Tassie. The plan is now to go to anchor off Eddystone Point in NE Tasmania for a few hours tonight. This will allow everyone to get a good meal in and spend a little bit of time relaxing with the deck at less than a 25 degree angle. Every one is going well although a bit tired due to the weather. e will then sail overnight to get to Wineglass Bay by first light tomorrow.

Until then, Shipmates,

Yours Aye,
