Currently at anchor at the mouth of King George River and enjoying light and variable winds with nil swell and the current temperature is 25 degrees.
Welcome to day four of our voyage. Well it was another early start for both Staff and Youth Crew with a 0630 wakeup call followed by a quick breakfast so that we could ferry the first group ashore at 0730. These ferry runs continued throughout the day with us managing to ferry all 34 crew (Staff and Youth Crew) down the picturesque King George River where they were met by Dion (Sail Master & Tour Guide) who then escorted them up to the top of the falls where they got witness the beauty of this spectacular part of Australia. Sadly still being the Dry Season there wasn’t any water coming over the falls but that still didn’t spoil a memorable day.
By 1745 we had the last group back onboard just in time to enjoy a teak deck BBQ and to witness a spectacular sunset. Once we had cleaned up from dinner we had a delicious Birthday Cake cooked by Keely to celebrate Staffies Evan and James Birthdays which are today and tomorrow.
Once completed we held an entertaining round of Three Way Chats which is a communication and getting to know you exercise which was followed by quick brief on tomorrows program by Dion.
Given this evenings late finish we will remain at anchor overnight and keep anchor watches ensuring that all onboard get a good night’s sleep and are well rested for the busy days ahead.
Until tomorrow, take care
