Day 7 – Scawfell Island

Today started at 0400 with a quick tack when Port Watch took over the watch from Starboard (who got a nice sleep in until 0745!).
After another delicious breakfast from chef Keely, we did Captain’s setting and furling getting ready for Command Day tomorrow. Another fantastic performance from Salty and his crew returned today, after his sunday rest. Today’s round of ropies meant that Port watch is now in the lead (booo), but Starboard is still in the race!
Rope swinging and jumping off bowsprit filled this afternoon as well as a trip ashore to Scawfell Island, where the trees were filled with butterflies and the water was perfect for snorkelling. Yummy pasta and lamb roast filled us for dinner, right before we had to elect our positions for Command Day, which are;
Captain FrankieSail Master CharleyNavigators Abi and GeorgiaWatch Leader Aimee Chefs Gella and Elijah.
Just before bed, we got to watch a documentary on the projector on deck about sailing around Cape Horn in the 1920s.
We go to bed tonght excited and nervous for what the next 24 hours hold, and on that note, signing off for day 7.Adrian and Georgia (from the mighty Starboard watch).
