EXCELLENT GROUND MADE TO THE NORTH EAST. YESTERDAY ALL YOUTH CREW COMPLETED LINE HANDLING AND SAIL SETTING DRILLS FINALLY FINISHING WITH THE SHIP COMPLETING TWO SUCCESSFUL TACKS ALL BEFORE DINNER. A FABULOUS OUTCOME. OVERNIGHT ALL WATCHES WERE INTRODUCED TO WATCH KEEPING ROUTINES INCLUDING TRICKS ON THE HELM, ROUNDS AND SAIL SETTING TO MENTION A FEW ACTIVITIES. THE SHIP'S TRACK PASSED BETWEEN THE HOGAN AND KENT GROUP OF ISLANDS BEFORE TACKING MID MORNING TO MAKE GROUND TOWARDS GABO ISLAND AS THE WIND SLOWLY BACKS TO THE NORTH.

THE VOYAGE HAS BEEN EXCELLENT. THE CREW HAVE INSPIERD US TO BE AND TO DO ALL WE CAN. THIS HAS BEEN A REMARKABLE EXPERIENCE AND I WILL KEEP ON BEING ALL I CAN.

THE FIRST NIGHT ON BOARD WE ANCHORED NOT FAR OFF SHORE, AND CLIMBED ALOFT TO THE COURSE PLATFORM. THEN LATER DURING THE EVENING AT APPROX 24:00 HOURS MY WATCH CLIMED TO THE TOPGALLIANT. IT WAS THE MOST CHALLENGING AND REWARDING THING TO ACCOMPLISH ON THE FIRST DAY.

KRYSTELLE - MORANBAH, QLD

WELL WHAT A TRIP SO FAR. WE'VE CLIMBED TO THE TOP GALLANT ON OUR
FIRST NIGHT, WHICH HAD ME A LITTLE SCARED BUT EXCITED THAT I HAD
ACHIEVED IT. WE'VE LEARNT HOW TO TIE KNOTS ETC AND SET SAILS.
