DURING THE COMMAND DAY THE YOUTH CREW HAS TO MEET MANY CHALLENGES.

DURING THE NIGHT WE TACKED THE SHIP A FEW TIMES TO ENSURE WE STAYED ON COURSE, WE ALSO FURLED IN AND SHEETED OUT MANY SAILS TO CONTINUE ON OUR JOURNEY TO DEVONPORT. THE YOUTH CREW HAVE TAKEN ON ALL CHALLENGES SO FAR AND SUCCESFULLY MET THEM WITH ENTHUSIASM AND A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOUR. BESIDES SAILING THE SHIP AND MAINTIANING A CORRECT COURSE WE HAVE ALSO HAD TO COMPLETE OTHER CHALLENGES SUCH AS GETTING 20 CREW ALOFT AND CREATING A HAMMOCK SO MANY OF US CAN HAVE A BIT OF A REST.

ITS AMAZING HOW QUICKLY THIS JOURNEY HAS GONE AND THE THINGS WE HAVE ALL LEARNT ABOUT SAILING AS WELL AS LEADERSHIP, COMMUNICATION AND TEAM WORK. I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THIS CHANCE TO THANK THE FANTASTIC STAFF WHO HAVE PATIENTLY TAUGHT US AND SUPPORTED US THROUGHOUT THIS LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE. YOU GUYS HAVE REALLY MADE THIS JOURNEY GREAT. THANK YOU. CAPTAIN ALLY FROM CANBERRA.
