Au revoir

Hello Shipmates for the last time, This morning it was up at 0630 for the final set of rope races prior to the YC laying aloft to harbour furl the square sails. This ensures that we’re looking our best for when we come alongside tomorrow and also provides protection for the sails. The ship sailed from anchor and then remained on one tack all the way to our next anchorage just nearby Mackay Harbour. It was a great sail in 20 kt sou easterly winds. We anchored at Round Top Island at 1430 and then the YC had end of voyage talks. Pizza night followed and then we all enjoyed an excellent slide show put together by the YC. Tomorrow we will weigh anchor at about 0900 and proceed alongside at 1000. For me it has been a particularly enjoyable voyage and this YC have done very well and should be proud of their achievements. I would also like to pay credit to my crew who are all true professionals and make it all happen so seamlessly. You couldn’t sail with a better bunch. Thank you all. Gunna out Carpe’ diem
