At Anchor in Twofold Bay
Hi Everyone,                 Welcome to Day 5 of our voyage. The strong 18-24kt northerlies remained with us overnight which meant that we enjoyed some good sailing and a fast passage south. At 0920 this morning we handed in sail and entered the confines of Twofold Bay where we came safely to anchor just off the Eden breakwater at 0935. Once at anchor the Youth Crew proceeded aloft and put sea furls on all of the squares and once completed mustered back on deck for my presentation on sail theory.Lunch followed, then the Youth Crew were ferried ashore and taken up to the Eden Whale Museum where they were kindly given a free tour of this extremely interesting local attraction. Once completed they adjourned to local cafes where they conducted mid voyage chats then were given some free time to stretch their legs and browse through the local shops.By 1630 everyone was back onboard and following a short break and another round of ‘Rope Races’ we weighed anchor and transited the short 2nm over to the western side of the bay to Boyd Town so that we are well protected from the southerly change which is forecast to hit the far NSW South Coast late this evening.Once safely at anchor we enjoyed a Mexican themed ‘Burrito’ dinner and once finished everyone mustered up on deck for the screening of the Tall Ship movie ‘Around Cape Horn’.To complete the evening’s activities James the Navigator gave a brief on keeping the ship safe at anchor then we all settled into anchor watches overnight ensuring that all onboard get a good nights sleep and are were well rested for the busy days ahead.Until tomorrow, take care. Yours AyeCaptain Gav

Thank you Tarvi, Kaeden and Matt for your narrative of today's events. Intentions are to remain at anchor in Hunters Bay, just off HMAS Penguin, home of the RAN Diving School, a place close to my heart, having spent many a day there under training as a young Officer! The plan is to weigh anchor and proceed to HMAS Waterhen, in Waverton, to pick up our Community Day Sailors from the Windgap Foundation and take them for a sail around the harbour for 3 hours. The Youth Crew will help us host our visitors and give them an experience of Young Endeavour. We will drop them back to Waverton and then proceed to anchor in the harbour where we will have a good view of the Bridge and the Opera House for the Youth Crew's last night onboard. Until tomorrow. Yours Aye, Captain Mike
