PAST 24 HOURSTWENTY FOUR YOUNG AUSTRALIANS AND THREE SAIL TRAINEE EXCHANGE MEMBERS FROM GREAT BRITIAN JOINED YOUNG ENDEAVOUR FOR THEIR ADVENTURE UNDER SAIL. THE VOYAGE COMMENCED WITH MANNY FAMILY AND FRIENDS BIDDING FAREWELL AS THE SHIP DEPARTED WOOLLOOMOOLOO. ON DECK ALL YOUTH CREW COMMENCED INTRODUCTORY ICE BREAKERS, SHIP TOURS BEFORE DINNER. AFTER SUNSET EVERYONE LAYED ALOFT FOR THEIR FIRST CLIMB TO THE LOWER PLATFORM ON THE FOREMAST, A FABULOUS ACHIVEMENT. OVERNIG HT WATCHES CLOSED UP WHILST AT ANCHOR AND EVERYONE PROGRESSED CLIMBING TO GREATER HEIGHTS ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP GALLANT, THE HIGHEST YARD. THE NEXT MORNING WAKEY WAKEY WAS AT 0630 FOR DECK ACTIVITIES ALL BEFORE BREAKFAST.AT 0800 THE NATIONAL ANTHEM WAS SUNG AS THE AUSTRALIAN WHITE ENSIGN AND NATIONAL FLAGS WERE RAISED. THE FORENOON PROGRAM INCLUDED HAPPY HOUR WHICH IS CLEANING STATIONS UNDER DISGUISE, DECK SAFETY AND LINE HANDLING ALL BEFORE LUNCH. JUST ANOTHER QUIET DAY ON YOUNG ENDEAVOUR, ALL WELL.YOURS AYEBRENTON WITTLIEUTENANT COMMANDER, RANCAPTAIN STS YOUNG ENDEAVOUR
