A Prime Ministerial Day!
Our day with the Prime Minister and distinguished guests was excellent. Thanks to the tremendous efforts of the Youth and Staff Crew we made our ship very presentable and showed them what a great team we are. The PM arrived at 0930 and met the crew. Soon after we departed and set some sails as we cruised around the Harbour. The Youth Crew were great ambassadors for the ship and hopefully made the hour long sail very memorable. The PM kindly presented Voyage certificates to and was photographed with each YC. He then presented the Order of Australia Emblem to Cecily Nichols of Newcastle for her efforts during the Voyage. Cecily spoke proudly about her experience and what it meant to her. Well done, Cecily! After a brief function ashore which the whole crew attended we were off again, this time looking for some rest and recreation. Alas, there was a little work to do (no rest for the workers) before we had a swim in the Harbour, went ashore for end of voyage talks and had a big laugh at some very funny skits at the concert. The Youth Crew are all very tired but extremely satisfied at what they have achieved in the last 10 days on board Young Endeavour. There is no Youth Crew entry this evening. They cannot be stirred.Stay tuned, Andrew Davis

Thank you Tarvi, Kaeden and Matt for your narrative of today's events. Intentions are to remain at anchor in Hunters Bay, just off HMAS Penguin, home of the RAN Diving School, a place close to my heart, having spent many a day there under training as a young Officer! The plan is to weigh anchor and proceed to HMAS Waterhen, in Waverton, to pick up our Community Day Sailors from the Windgap Foundation and take them for a sail around the harbour for 3 hours. The Youth Crew will help us host our visitors and give them an experience of Young Endeavour. We will drop them back to Waverton and then proceed to anchor in the harbour where we will have a good view of the Bridge and the Opera House for the Youth Crew's last night onboard. Until tomorrow. Yours Aye, Captain Mike
