At anchor off McCrae, Port Phillip Bay.
During the afternoon Youth Crew set all fore and aft sails and the ship made ground towards the South Channel. As the skies
cleared and the temperature increased it was time for a swim in the Bay. After this refreshing dip the ship went to tacking stations and conducted two successful tacks before entering the channel and
clearing the Rip before sunset. As a bonus the 'One and All' South Australia's Sail Training Ship was entering through the heads a magnificent encounter. With freshening winds the ship remained close hauled and shaped a course to experience sailing in Bass Strait. Sailing overnight allowed all watches the opportunity to start tricks
on the helm, to conduct rounds and progress in sail handling. During the forenoon YOUNG ENDEAVOUR sailed into Port Phillip Bay and
anchored off McCrae for a well earned break and in some cases an opportunity to recover from sea sickness. Without exception everyone is settling into Tall Ship sailing.
