BLUSTERY CONDITIONS GREETED THE TWENTY FOUR YOUNG AUSTRALIANS FOR THEIR FIVE DAY ADVENTURE UNDER SAIL. AT 1000 ALL FAMILY AND FRIENDS WAVED GOOD BYE AS THE PROGRAM COMMENCED AT WOOLLOOMOOLOO. THE SHIP
REMAINED ALONGSIDE OVERNIGHT DUE TO THE HEAVY WEATHER CONDITIONS.

DURING THE DAY ALL WATCHES COMPLETED SHIP TOURS, SAFETY BRIEFS AND ICE BREAKERS. AFTER LUNCH THE CLIMBING ALOFT PRESENTATION WAS MADE BEFORE EVERYONE LAY ALOFT TO THE LOWER TOP. TO EVERYONES CREDIT ALL YOUTH CREW VENTURED ALOFT IN THE DAMP AND WINDY CONDITIONS.

AFTER DINNER ALL WATCHES RUGGED UP AND COMMEMNCED LINE HANDLING AND AGAIN CLIMBED ALOFT WITH SOME REACHING THE TOPGALLANT YARD. AT 0630 AN EARLY MORNING JOG ARPOUND THE UPPER DECK BEFORE SETTLING INTO A
CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST. YOUNG ENDEAVOUR SAILED DURING THE FORENOON AND ANCHORED OFF ROSE BAY AND CONTINUED LINE AND DECK TRAINING.
