Very little wind yesterday afternoon which was perfect for the concert that was held in balmy, nearly warm conditions. Glorious sunset really set the scene. Concert was of a reasonable standard. Lots of sea sick gags which is hardly surprising. Continuing to motor sail although a NE breeze (10 kts) blew up this morning. A cyclone
well to the nth is holding a high over our current position which will probably mean SE winds for the Cook Strait. I do not think we
will get the NW winds I was hoping for.

Command day elections are about to be held for a commencement at 1600. It will be fairly challenging I think. We expect to make NZ
landfall at around that time (currently about 45 nm away). Still have not seen anybody else out here since Storm Bay. I thought as we are
approaching the strait we would see something. I cannot recall going so long without seeing some sort of shipping. It is very cold for Jan and these penguins are a long way north.
